This morning Pastor Cody brought the message to us from Luke 10 38:42 In regard to living as a disciple. Discussion was around the studiers and the doers, similarly to that of Mary and Martha. Martha displays that as more of the doer and Mary was more listening and taking it all in. It is good to have a combination of both. Study and learn yes go out and do as well. We need spiritual leaders to guide those we are sharing Jesus with and making disciples for Jesus. Both doers and studies work together tandem to help others see the love Jesus have for them and to help them grow in their faith. Whether you are a studier/teacher or a doer, let us come together with our gifts to make disciplined for Jesus and prepare others for the transformation of the world! This Sunday, July 14th at 10:30am, please join the Springs Valley UMC Cooperative Parish for a special service welcoming Pastor Dennis Adams. Service will be at 10:30am at Mt. Lebanon UMC. All are welcome to join for this special Sunday service and pitch in to follow. Many blessings!

Cooperative Parish VBS planning meeting Tuesday 25th at 7p at Mt. Lebanon. Thank you for helping to coordinate a successful community VBS!
Our lovely Missy Helderman brought the message to us today. She spoke about the old and the new. How many times do we get quiet enough to hear God's heartbeat? We get so busy and forget to stop and take time for Him. We want to listen, to be willing to follow what He has for us and not question. This is hard sometimes though. Read scripture regularly and pray to the Father with expectation, not out of obligation. Seek Him and stay focused on God and the relationship with Him, just as we do with our earthly relationships. We often can find ourselves in this place of "being done" and not ready for what's next. John 10:10 "Jesus came so that we may have and enjoy life and it in abundance (to the full, til it overflows)." Are we enjoying life and living the life He intended? Are you feeling empty, settling with the old and feeling tired? Are you hungry and thirsty but not what He asks of us? We all experience this. Pray to the Lord: Lord help me to be strong to do what you desire. We can be restored. Soak and spend time in the word. Block out the noise of the world and sit down with the word intentionally and with expectation. Re-evaluation and think and received what God has for us. Receive and pour out to others daily.
